hi
can anyone help i am about to get a new combi boiler to replace a backboiler with fire front, the combi is going in airingcupboard if the backboiler is isolated can i still use fire front thanks

yes the fire front can be used if the boiler is still in situ but isolated however boiler f and r cant be capped of must left open in case someone lights the boiler
personally i always remove the wiring to the boiler as well as capping the supply

I always disconnect the burner assembly and cap off the gas supply to it. You also need to affix a plate to the back boiler stating that it has been decommissioned. The flow and return connections should have downward facing elbows attached. any redundant piping within the builders opening should be capped to prevent fumes being transferred about the property.
