Bad Smell Kithcen/Utility/Converted garage

Hi.
I have noticed a nasty 'sewerage' smell in my utility & the garage (which is now a bedroom). It seems to be getting worse. How can I find out where it is coming from? I have no idea what to do & it is really getting me down now.😕 Thank you - I really would appreciate some help.

chance are youve got an open drain buried somewhere look for pipework disapearing into floors
