I

I'm no plumber

Hi,

Water won't drain from the bath. If I try to transfer / drain water via the sink, it seems as though the water comes back into the bath and into the WC. The water finally disappears after multiple hours, but initially nothing drains.

Any ideas what the problem is and how to resolve it.

Rgds.

it sounds as tho either you have a blocked drain or stack have you lifted the drain cover and checked?
if the basin water is backing up i would suggest that you would not be able to clear this with your ordinary plunger or mr muscle which i would suggest is a huge rip off anyway

flush your w.c several times in succession, if the water builds up in your bath the soil pipe is obviously blocked, have you an access point on the stack you can remove and easily rod the blockage away. you seriously dont want a drain collapse in your garden good luck with it
