Hi,
The basin & pedestal I bought recently has got me scratching my head, as it doesn’t seem to have an obvious method of joining them together securely. This is in contrast to the existing one which has a semi circular groove that the basin fits onto the pedestal & you can adjust to fit flush to the wall before sticking them together with caulk.

The new basin just has 3 tines underneath which balance on top of the rim of the pedestal leaving a pretty big gap to fill with caulk. Seems a bit precarious & there’s no hole in the base of the pedestal to secure it to the floor either.

Hope the photos will show what I mean. TIA for any advice.
