Hi all have been member for a while but this is my first post ,
got a fault on my combi, started with hot water not getting hot, when tap is turned on boiler fires up no probs but only stays on about 5 secs then goes out, this is just repeated constantly but there are no fault lights on.
Checked micro switches and both appear to be working fine (have tested for continuity), pins come out and both switches make ok.
checked safety stat 0.3, CH sensor 12.3 and DHW sensor 12.2
took heat ex off and is clean no signs of lime or sludge
water pipe is barely warm and CH pipes are cold.
It is now doing same with CH
woul appreciate any help
thanks

I'd start by getting a qualified engineer in. I would think you would've saved a few quid based on what you've already done.

Your clearly not gas safe registered meaning that you shouldn't be meddling with your boiler.
My advice is to bit the bullet and get a qualified engineer in.

ye you are right, not gsr but am a qualified electrician and competant at plumbing thats why I had a look myself first, have not touched anything to do with the gas, but hopefully will give the gas eng a good start when he comes.
Thanks for the replies and comments
Larry
