baxi 105e dhw problem

I have a baxi 105e boiler that has developed a dhw problem. When we turn the hot water tap on the boiler kicks in and we get hot water untill boiler reaches 80 on the LED's then it all switches off untill LED's go down to 40 then it kicks in again, this repeats constantly while the tap is on resulting in a hot cold hot cold hot cold shower.
Can anybody PLEASE help as Im about to rip it off the wall🙂

could be a thermistor,. air switch,blockage etc,you need a good engineer but your boiler is simple,well built and generaly reliable if its a thermistor cheap and easy fix
 
cheers mark. will get my plumber to change it unless you think its something i could tackle, ?
 
tbh bryan the dhw thermistor is easy to change but get any water in the pcb and it gets expensive and this could be one of many possible parts faulty bearing in mind i dont have the opportunity to test your boiler, if it fails to resolve the problem come back and we will look at the problem further i take it ch works ok?
 
yeh, sorry , forgot to mention that, the ch works fine, i undud the power board the other day and blew all crap off inner workings. for a day or so it all worked fine then back to what has now become normal, will prob have a go myself to try and save a few quid,thanks for your help mark, much apprieciated. bry
 
thanks for your help mark, just replaced plate heat ex, all working fine again for now, managed to get one locally for 43 quid at plumb center,bargain, once again thanks for listening and for your advice, saved me a small fortune, bry
