Hi, I notice there are more than a few posts about this model of boiler!
We've had ours since 2002 and in that time it's had a new heat exchange and some sort of valve or other but generally has been pretty good.
However of late we have noticed that the hot water is coming on randomly when both the heating is off and there are no taps on! (Especially when we're in bed at night)
THE PRE-HEAT IS NOT ON
Thought it was the frost stat at first but it's doing it when mild too. At first we could stop it by turning on and off the hot tap, but now we are having to turn off the boiler completely cause it's doing it more and more.
Bloomin great big gas bills for nothing!

We think it must be either a faulty valve or sensor but would appreciate any ideas. My hubby is competant engineer so can fit parts himself (phew!)
