I have a Baxi 35/60 with a low pressure or pump fault (warning light activated). I have changed the hydraulic outlet assembly, as the push rod was not activating the microswitch, but the boiler fails to start (pump does not start) and the warning light continues to flash. The boiler fires up when the microswitch is activated manually and the pump appears to work, the system pressure does, however, rocket up. Is this likely to be the result of an air lock? and if so, how would one remove it? or could it be a problem with the pump?

Welcome along. Unless you are a gas safe registered engineer you will not get an answer re the inner workings of your boiler, might be worth you putting a request for an engineer on the relevant section on here and someone local to you can help. If you are gsr then get your posts up and join the gsr private forum

Providing gas-related advice to anybody who should not be touching gas and cannot prove their competence is unacceptable. We will take whatever action we deem appropriate to prevent such advice being given

Thank you.
