I've got an old heating system in my house, for us to have hot water I have to have the heating going, there are not individual controls. Doing this when the weather is nice makes the house roasting hot and all the windows being open (heating the street). This has also sent my bills stupidly high. I know the best option is to change the system and get a combi and new fire but financially I'm not able to at the moment. So my thinking was to put radiator thermostats on each radiator to hopefully have them on a minimum and it meaning I would still get hot water. Does this make sense or wouldn't it work and I would still roast in whatever room I was in.
