Hi I am new to this forum but would like a bit of asdvice if possible?
For a few days now my heating seemed to be ineffective - thoermo on at 4 and still all radiators luke warm although Hot Water was boiling - Then the pilot light went out and the ignition switch doesnt work - I followed other advice to relight - i.e. holding down the grey button while trying to light the pilot - I cant really hear if any gas is getting through though and the pilot light fails to light - all ideas , suggestions welcome

I am on a DMP so have very little spare cash for a repair man - although I feel that this maybe the only way out - so this is my last hope,

Many thanks

Zelig

we cant give you any advice regarding the repair of a gas applience.
get a gas safe engineer in to sort you out.

Fair one - does anyone know however whereabouts the pilot light should be - left , middle right etc?

Have you got a CO detector too?
Sounds like your boiler needs a good clean and service. Call a GSR engineer :)
