MDS PLUMBING

Hi all,

Never yet changed an expansion vessel on the 105 e. Firstly, there is nowhere to put an external vessel as its in a flat and F&R only have 4" above boiler before disappearing in the ceiling.

The manual is saying "it is necessary to remove the boiler from the wall in order to change the expansion vessel" Can anyone advise me if this is correct as to me it doesn't look that hard to do it whilst boiler in situ. Only the nut at bottom and retaining bracket, both of which are accessible.

Any advice greatly appreciated

are you gsr ? if you are pm redsaw or gas man your details. then you will get access to the private gsr forum and you will get your answer there :)

Hi thanks for replying, I have clearance above the exp vessel just wouldn't have room for an external vessel.

That's great thank you, would not be worth the labour to remove the boiler and do it as it is a good few years old.

Could you also advise me how to get the GSR stamp on my profile so people stop asking!

Thanks for your help

Yes I am 537729. I have just asked how to get the GSR stamp on my profile. Thanks
