Noticed a Burning smell from Baxi Combi 105e yesterday. On investigation found that PCB had burnt out so replaced. After resetting, red light now flashing on hot water sensor. For less than a tenner I replaced the DHW sensor but light still flashing! I've tried swapping the wires form the DCW and CH temp sensors and also swapping over the micro switches to try and identify the cause of the problem but fault light keeps flashing on the hot water sensor.

Central Heating fires up ok but no hot water.

i would be grateful for any advice on what else I can do to identify the cause of the problem or suggest what may need replacing.

Welcome to the forum stu , please take not of the orange banner at the top of the page.

This plumbing forum will not provide advice to anybody with regards to boiler repairs or any other form of gas plumbing without you first providing us with your Gas Safe Registration number in a thread - for very obvious reasons. If you're not qualified to touch gas, you should stay well clear of trying to!

Hi stu. You need to get a gas safe registered engineer in to rectify this problem. We can not and will not offer advice on repairing a gas appliance on the open forum.
welcome to the forum by the way!

Good advice given there Stu. Please take heed. We don't want you becoming another statistic.

You need a gsr in to look at your boiler. We cannot and will not give advice on the installation or repair of boilers for your own safety.

Please go to Gas Safe Register | Ensure your gas engineer is registered. or post a thread in the 'I'm looking for a plumber / gas engineer' section of these forums remembering to include your location. [DLMURL="http://www.ukplumbersforums.co.uk/im-looking-plumber-gas-engineer/"]I'm looking for a Plumber or Gas Engineer[/DLMURL]

If you are gsr please increase your post count to 10+ then send a pm to either Gas man or Redsaw who will then check you and then give you access to the gsr private forum.

Thank you.
