A relative has a Baxi 105 HE, haven't visited it myself but the problem is as follows. Lately when HW tap is opened, the HW takes an age to come through and apparently the radiators are also getting warm. This is with the 'On/OFF' control knob on the boiler set to CH/HW. Now then I know this sounds like a diverter valve issue however my relative tried setting the control knob on the boiler to HW only and when in this position the HW comes through the taps as quick as it always did and the radiators do not swarm up at all.

Is this something more complex than just the diverter? If it was the diverter valve I'd have expected that no matter what the control knob is set to, the problem would be the same.

I would still think that the diverter valve is sticking not the actuator but the valve the diverter should open to heating for a short time when the tap is shut off anyway otherwise the boiler would overheat

Not necessarily, most combis have a built in automatic bypass . Anyway nothing to do with the op query but get a Gassafe engineer out to assess the fault and repair.

Good luck finding a actuator on a 105,OP you need a good GSR Engineer with Experience to sort this, post a Thread in our find a Engineer section,Thread closed
