i was informed the pcb have a anti cycle time delay, now the problem i have is when i call for heat at room stat it takes an age and some times not at all for the boiler to fire, the boiler radiator light comes on and the pump will run, when dhw is run the boiler fires as normal and when knocked off will transfer to heating and fire as normal, could the time delay be faulty ,sticking/?

These boilers have a 3 minute anti cycling delay if the ch stat is above a certain temperature, on dhw it is instant ignition (on the flow switch).

My best guess would be check the diverter isn't letting by a little and therefore heating the ch stat?

Slave in a spare CH stat and see if that lights instantly you will know.

They're a begger at times these boyo's!

As above, no harm in replacing the heating sensor but it may be one of the microswitch's is on its way out? Try turning the power off to the boiler, wait a cupl of seconds then back on. DON'T turn any hot taps on! Demand heating and see what happens! If it lights, turn the control stat down till burner shuts off then turn back up to max. You should get the 3 min delay then boiler fire up again! If it doesn't light then look to see what is running, pump and fan etc. As mentioned before the micro switches on these boilers can be temperamental!
