Hi chaps has anyone changed a baxi combi instant 105 HE expansion vessel, without taking it of the wall.

I have one to do tomorrow but with a pot on (and a broken leg) I don't fancy lugging a boiler about. Ive done a couple before but always took the boiler off. any tips of advice if it`s possible.

I don't work on many baxis as Ive never really fitted any and dont want to let this customer down.
Gasman help

Cheers

Re: Exapansion

easy repair sort of, remove pcb,(they get wet)drain down, remove black motor on dv,wedge a 5 inch drill bit into the dv to hold the spindles down, once drained drill a hole in the top of the ev to let air in,then carefully remove the EV insulation, carefully bend the rear chassis this will; allow the ev to lift up,disconnect the 2 x 3/4 nuts disconnect the rubber condensate pipe at the rear of the secondary HE hex remove ev,on reassembly watch you dont get the rubber pipe stuck,i would remove the insulation off the new one it dont need it,BTW moving this to the gsr only forum
