hello

which size and appropriate heating pipework for Baxi Megaflo system 24 H A Baxi Megaflo System HE A

along with any associated heating plant and equipment ?

this is for a 3 bedroom house

any input in this is very appreciated

thank you

It may not involve the unvented cylinder as Baxi call their System boiler Megaflow as well ! However it is still not a DIY job as it is a gas boiler. Give us a bit more info fred , what exactly are you doing ?

sorry for the confusion! of course there's no DIY job! this is just a little exercise i am doing trying to see if i can go fo HVAC courses ... so far i have done most of the work by calculating heat load and picking up a heating system from a manufacturer ( it is all about heating ) but the last part i am stuck from yesterday spend hours on Google and i got where i am not sure i understood what i have to do

for HS i picked up this baxi megaflo system 24 H A ( 24kW model after calculated heat loss) which can deliver heat and hot water easily for a 3 bedroom house mid terraced

i also picked up Single panel double convector ( 8 of them )2x 1400mm 3x 1200mm 2 x 700mm Single Panel Single Convector 600mm Radiator 600mm Height x 1400mm Width - Ceramicas available at Plumbworld

this is where i am a bit not sure how i can determine pipework for this system

my understanding so far is... to determine the size of pipe, i have to calculate the Flow rate for each Radiator with this formula

flow rate = radiator power input / 46000

and then the resistance flow

finally i can determine the size of pipe from this table

Central heating pipe sizing

am i doing this correct? also the manufactures doesn't display the radiator power output for all Radiators, some of them displays 2 outputs

for example for the 600mm x 1400mm you have 4537btu at 50c and 5812btu at 60c

which one i have to use for my calculations?

i would appreciate your help in this matter...

thank you
