Hi,

i have a customer who has been recommended a Remeha Advanta combi. I haven't fitted one of these but they have a 5 year warranty and they seem to have a good reputation. What is the word on the forum on them?

fitted a few, been going back regularly to repair them eversince!!!, failed hydroblocks common, replaced the fans after 2 years, complete new burner unit when the thermistor fails, bit of a uphill climb learning how to rip it apart and put back together for the first time. Dont install them any more.

Absolute pap. Wouldn't fit another one for love nor money. Fitted a Baxi terezza. What a pile of poop. Rehema domestic boilers are plain pants. See thread Baxi have reached a new low. The boiler we were fitting was a field trail and hopefully it stays that way.
The boilers are horrid design, flimsy and nasty to work on. If it's a boiler and it starts with 'r' it's rubbish. Rehema, ravenheat rvokera, reheat line, rsimi, rooster rosch !

Thanks. Not a popular choice then. Alternative is Glow Worm flexicom. I keep being told these are 3/4 full of Vaillant parts as part of same company. Any thoughts?
boiler recommendation seems a nightmare. So many differing views.

have another go but leave out wb, ferrolli, ravenheat etc etc

Well, I have moved from fitting Ideal Logic + Boilers and now just fit the new Baxi Avanta Exclusive boilers. I believe it is a Remeha boiler rebadged as Baxi becos the Baxi name is more known than Remeha is.
Personally, I would prefer the Ideal Logic + Boilers to the Baxi Avanta Exclusive boiler? Infact. I could fit the Ideal quicker than the Baxi, but may be with time I will get up to speed with it.

At this point in time, I would say they are an ok boiler. Time will tell.

so you fit baxis but prefer ideals but reccomend baxis, I think?

Ideal messed me up some months back, so I am voting with my feet, fitting a different boiler now. Baxi Avanta Exclusive

just fit a duotec HEA,problem fixed after all baxi did not design or make the avanta

I don't' mind the avanta's fitted a few and not had any problems to speak of, quite a compact boiler the offset flue is sometimes a bit of a pain but not the end of the world.

I hate remeha . One of their tezzera ( Baxi trial ) heaps caused me untold delays today. Only 3 left to fit and that's em done! 6 red blinks..... Miscellaneous error........ So that means what? Oh I can't commission and tenant has no boiler till tomorrow ?
