Hi guys

Was working on the above boiler on Monday, with customer initially calling to say the boiler has been sounding like ‘a small aeroplane taking off’ ...INTERMITTENTLY!

On initial inspection, it didn’t perform the loud humming noise as described by the customer. I gave the boiler a full strip down clean anyway, and checked combustion, all seemed spot on and within range.

A day later, the customer sent me a video with the sound, which sounded a lot like a bad air/gas mix. Without the the boiler doing this on site I decided to replace the fan the following day. Low and behold it did it again yesterday.

Has anyone else had this issue before? I was thinking the gas valve may be the culprit? Or potential flue seals?

Thanks in advance.
