Baxi solo 2 problem???

Hi, i've been called to a job with a baxi solo 2 and the heating has been converted to a pressurised system. Customer says after about 5 mins of running the boiler locks out and overheat light comes on also the prv has blown out with the dial on the pressure guage shooting up and down. When i arrived i reset the boiler and pressurised back up to around 1bar, as the boiler starts running you can see the guage slowly creep up to about 2 and a half bar and the the boiler locksout and overheat light comes on. Do you think this could be the expansion vessel?? The way its been sited in the airing cupboard makes it impossible to check the pressure on it. Any ideas anyone??????????

If pressure is going up can only be the EX Tank or filling loop letting by, looks like you will have to remove tank to test it !! any photo's ??

As above but could also be caused by blockage/pump fault but less likely, would be banging and crashing if this was the case

i would say expansion vessel not charged. No other solution but to move it

Could also be a blockage in the pipe that connects the EV to the system, happens a lot on G/Worm boilers, worth a look.
