Evening,

Recently attended a customers house with a broken Baxi Solo HE24, ignition failure and fan squealing like a pig.

Fan removed and full of water, burner full of water too and central insulation panel soaked. No constant leak of water so heat exchanger believed to be OK. Baxi suggest its the flue seal between flue and top of heat exchanger but I can't understand how if this has gone it would send condensate to front of boiler instead of rear where it should go and fall into sump and trap?

Ideas welcome, at present a new fan is needed and burner, will chuck in a new sump seal too and it may need a new gas valve if water some how got in hear too however all this will get it working again but I'm no closer to finding out why there is water in the burner?

Thanks

Sam
