Discuss Best ABS Pipe Cutter in the Plumbing Jobs | The Job-board area at Plumbers Forums

God I'm old fashioned!

I have an old tenon saw that did nowt else. Then I'd use my trusty 'Stanley knife', with the blade out just 5mm, to clean it up better than those specialist tools.
I've been using a saw for over 40 years, but there are now tools that get the job done easier and get into tight corners that a saw can't.

I've ordered the Rothenberger Plasticut. I had one of these years ago when they first came out and they only fitted push fit and McAlpine type pipe at that time, plus they were difficult to move on the first turn. Seems that they are universal now and also fit ABS pipe. I've got a job on Sunday under a floor and it's impossible to get near the waste pipe with a saw, so these look like a solution, plus they only cost me a tenner as I had a fiver credit on my account.
