What has been your best earning job?

Doorman.

but in the trade blocked drains used to offer me the best return on investment

Years back an architect who I fell out with, paid for an invoice, then after I refused to work for him again, his secretary paid the same invoice again £2200.

Obviously i I told them

I begrudgingly was asked to quote to fit a howdens kitchen after fitting a boiler for a custard. I didnt really want to do it so added 4 grand for labour into the quote . Was a bit happier about doing after they accepted the quote for 4 days work.

Vaillant 824 for vaillant 824 boiler swap. £500 notes in two hours and they made me a bacon roll!

£175 per hour to replace big 6 clear panels on factory roof in birmingham me and my buddy went in on a Saturday while factory shut and replaced 4 no sheets took us 4 hours on dodgy asbestos roof relying on rusty j bolts to stop ladders sliding off roof onto pointed wrought ironed fencing we did earn our £700 each and were slightly cheaper than another crowd who were going to use scaffold this was in 1991 so was good dough then..brum

An alcohic once paid me 750 to remove bog bath and basin and runher to the off licence at 8am [emoji38]

had to check your location kay jay only cos when I was in the day had to refit a bathroom suite in solihull for a raving alkie who did not know why here bathroom suite was on her front garden..brum

Had some brilliant ones . Best was insurance surveys or COFO. £200 in and out in 3 mins. 20 photographs cap gas push for on cold and away. Was blatant landlords were on the fiddle - boiler jig and rad brackets were always unscrewed and removed but house flooded

had quite a few but this happened to me but the local housing trust who didnt stick to my terms at 14 days or +15% per week untill paid. took them 8 weeks after 4 reminders then the donkey accountant paid me again to the sum of £1700. that was 8 years ago so i think i am clear by now.lol

Not highest amount but probably highest per hour. 4 blocked urinals at local gym, charged around £1200 and paid my mate £75 to do it, didn't even take him an hour

Now that's taking the pish!!!

I changed the pump assembly on a vailant ecotec and missed the 2 on the invoice and lost £54 plus 2 hours

On a matress stuffed with fifties.....[emoji3]
Haha no back trouble for me!
I milked the *******s for everything I could they are council run and it actually annoyed me how they didn't even look at my invoices they just **** money up the wall. Easily had 10k worth of work in a year, recommended a full repipe of one of the gyms as it was blocked up and scaled up everywhere, about 2 months work I reckon.

they said they'd look it at the following year, 2 months later there was another firm in there doing it, big commercial firm no idea what they charged but I've never heard back since, reckon I could of bought a new van cash with what I would have made on that. was good while it lasted they even offered me full time job books in for 20k per year with van etc

went to work with another plumber to help him out for the day got rear ended by a drunk and got 3.5k insurance was back home before 12 didnt even get the tools out the van

Best earning jobs have been a couple of cash jobs over the year.

1 the woman was a pain in the rear had to do the job after 7 as she was working and wouldn't do it a Saturday morning as that would interrupt her lie in. Replace stopcock and repair dripping tap- £290 I was there for 15 minutes (I didn't want anymore work off her and thought I would scare her off. Didn't work though as I was back a month later swapping a shower)

A mate was removing a big solid fuel boiler with a combi £500 cash just to help shift the boiler and patch up the flue. I even said that's too much for what I have done he just said I priced for it so have it! I wasn't going to argue twice.
