Hi all,

New to the forum and inevitably asking for advice. We are having a garage built that has an upstairs with a small en-suite, the question is how to heat the shower, the water pressure is not great in the main house so will be pitiful in the garage some 20 metres away so this rules out a standard electric shower, I was wondering if anyone makes a shower that not only heats the water but has an integral pump to boost the flow. I can't really put a tank in the loft as there isn't a loft and I don't want the expense and hassle of fitting a boiler.

Any advice gratefully received.

A bit more information is required. What water feeds are you going to have to the garage and where will they come from?

Will hot water be supplied via the main house? If so, what type of heating system is installed?
Will cold water be from mains or tank?
When you say water pressure is rubbish does that include mains cold water?

There won't be any hot water supplied from the house, any heating in the garage will be electric.
Cold water will be from mains, having been T'd off from the supply to the main house.
The mains cold water pressure is rubbish.

Thanks for looking

Triton do make such a shower but they stipulate that it must be tank fed.

Have you been in touch with your local water authority to investigate the poor mains pressure down2earth?

Are neighbours experiencing the same problem?

If you can't improve the pressure I'm afraid I can't think of a solution to your problem. Maybe someone else can help.

I looked on Triton website and Paulus is correct.
I'm pretty sure that a few years ago this device was developed to counter low mains pressure and was (at that time) allowed to be connected to the mains supply.

The other thing you coul do is fit a remote break tank and pump the water from that at say 2.5 bar.

That would work, good thinking mountainman.
