Hi
Im tiling a bathroom floor on monday. Have ply lined the floor today and just wonderee what you guys use to prime the floor prior to tiling?

Cheers

Hi
It's not common practice these days. There are better floor covering systems than ply.
But it has been used to good effect over the years.
Make sure it's flat and bounce free. Then use an acrilic primer, preferably by the same manufacturer as the adhesive. Mix, to the reccomended ratio.

I ain't no tiler. But I think these days the go to sealant is sbr, not pva!

However as mentioned above, I don't think ply is the standard anymore. Most professionals use cement board.

There is a sister tilers board that would probably be a better place to ask.
