what do you guys use? fitted a few , one I really liked but cant remember the manufacturers name! it was a nut and split olive fitting to the manifold, all now seem to be push fit, want to do 2 50msq rooms , how many zones would it have to be? I cant remember how long pipe I can use before returning back to manifold. never done one on my own only as an apprentice . and were does best prices? thanks

There is lots of different makes
A lot are eurocone and split olives

You need to get it spec to see what the heat loss is and a manufacture will tell you how many loops and pipe required

Rehau
Uponor
Poly pipe
JG
Myson
LK
Glo
To name a few

I've only ever done one UFH job, six rooms downstairs and the hallway on two separate manifolds. It was a Rehau system and I must admit was very simple to use and their technical guys were very helpful to two complete UFH novices.

I use rehau myself now I like it
I can give you a reps name if you need it he could pass you on to someone on mainland

Use rehau or Myson - myson is nice pipes. JG isn't my friend anymore.

i also fitted a jg one, what a pile of cr*p! still getting trouble with it to this day!!

as above. you need heat loss calcs to work out your pipe centres. also floor coverings play a big part in it too.

I personally use Ambiente UFH. Been using their stuff for a few years now and had no problems.

i use a company called wunda floor/wunda trade, call them with your requirements (room size, manifold proximity, type of floor) and they'll give you a shopping list of stuff. best prices around by far. just from experience i would imagine they'll say each 50m room will require 3 x 80m coils or 2x 100m coils depending on the pipe centres etc probably looking at around 600 per room inc. vat.tops
01291634149 you will never look back. they also do 15mm poly pipe and fittings cheaper than toolstation
buy yourself the pipe stapler as a treat (you'll thank me)

i dont work for wunda trade lol

their ufh pipe also has aluminium layer in it so it stays bent when you bend it, a joy to work with
