hi. i have a chip in my basin pedestal. whats the best method of repairing it so that it doesnt stand out as much... without replacing it

Little chip/ scratch = repair kits, widely available - doesn't even have to be white but the colour matching ones won't produce such invisible results

Big chip/crack = worth replacing for safety reasons. if it falls apart when somone leans on it it'll slice them in twain

I use car repair products for this kind of thing. You get whit wax sticks that work well even fillers and white paint not srays but the stick with the brush. T Cut white works well on the odd scratch on a bath or a tray. I mamaged to take a fairly deep chip out an idealcast bath after my level fell into the bath.

We used to have a company come in to repair things like your problem, the company was called the plastic surgeons, they would do work tops and all sorts, they did a really good job

Yeah, I have a guy I can call upon. Last year I had a tiler drop a tile on a big 1800 shower tray....the repair was nearly impossible to see.

i use a little kit i got from toolstation its a tub of filler which you rub down with some very fine sand paper which is provided then mask the area and spray white stuff over it.
i used it a couple of times and its pretty good. after paint is dry you need to t-cut over the patch to fade in the raised lip from when you masked up.

works well on plastic baths as well as pot stuff
