Bi Flow dual taps query

Hi everyone,

I need to replace the kitchen tap, all my neighbours have two single taps in their kitchen and bathroom whereas I have a single lever tap in the bathroom and kitchen.
Due to living in a flat and having a shared water supply I was advised to get a dual flow tap for the kitchen so both hot and cold are kept separate and would appreciate your advice if it would be suitable.
I have supplied photos of the current tap, pipework under the kitchen sink and the mains pipe in the panel which then feeds cold water along to the kitchen tap.

Strictly speaking a mono-flow tap should be fitted with non return valves tho I believe.
Are there any regs on this?

Thank you, so should the current mixer tap I have fitted, have non return valves fitted onto each pipework under the sink? or should the new dual flow tap have non return valves fitted? Any advice is appreciated thank you.

I believe a dual flow tap does not require non return valves to be fitted.
Your existing tap might possibly be dual flow, as I see similar models are available as dual flow:

And your plumbing appears to include a non return valve to your kitchen tap from the pipe that has (a bit of) insulation on it!
