Hi guys,

Just been to look at a bathroom to price up for installing the appliances, the bath is a hugh 6ftx6ft Jacuzzi style bath, i have never installed anything this big before so i was just wondering how difficult they are to install?

its got 4 flexis on (i assume 2 for hot 2 for cold) but the instruction manual doesnt have a manufacturer name on it and its come straight from china,

it looks very high tech with a touch screen panel instead of a tap,

is this a 2 man job or could i do it on my own?

yes its a 2 man job even if just to move the bath, they are just like a standard bath but with electrics, the electrics will need doing by someone with part p.

there bark is worse than there bite.
pipes and wires to beat the band, but generally 22mm hot supply and same cold hook it up and away it goes. i would always put an electric isolater out side bathroom on wall or pull cord internal.not sure about regs in uk , but thought it practical/safe on any of the ones i did .

Hi. In my view the fitting is secondary. First identify that the hot and cold systems that will supply it is fit for purpose. Good Luck

once u fill it with water it re circulates that same water . unless this is some thing i have nt come across, that needs certain water flow or pressure. correct me if i m wrong.

Hi. You may well be right Buffy. However i have come across a few installations of large bathing arrangements that rely on a small comb to deliver 1000+ltr of water. And can fall short of the client expectations. Without more information its difficult to be precise. Good luck

when combis were virtually unknown here we fitted one in the guest annexe of a large house what we didnt know was the bathroom had a bath with a gold swans head filler as the customer later said "it looks like my swan is dribbling"fortounatly for us it was all architech specified so he had the flak not us

Cheers for the advice guys, think i might invite a mate to lend me some muscle moving it into position. another plumber did all the 1st fix work so all im left with is 2 15mm tails sticking out the wall, the electrics have allready been wired up so i dont need to worry bout that.

think ill stick a quote in and see what happens.

thanks once again fellas.

all the best.

i did some work on the supplies to a jacuzzi of this size last year, maybe the supplies were over sized but they were 1/1/4" to within a meter of the tub, please also be aware of the potential weight of a large jacuzzi being mistakenly filled to over flowing, the bathroom had steel; supports beneath it for added strength just a thought
