I have a biomass boiler that seems to produce a lot of ash. Would any body know if this would be down to the fuel? or is it incorrect combustion? the boiler does self modulate but is air mixture wrong? many thanks

Sounds like it is in need of a service, if ash is allowed to build up in the flue ways it can affect combustion and produce more ash. It is a specialist job btw and requires setting up as part of the service.

What make and model?

Ecowarm is correct most of us specialise in a few brands, my usual reply to people who call me about a system I'm not familiar with is go back to the people who supplied the boiler.

I know I can never be cheaper than the person who knows the product, fair enough if a customer is willing to pay me for a few hours learning about their boiler, however that's not really fair to the customer.
