Hi I'm 16 and have reccently started my Level 2 at college wed - fri. I have sent off about 20 letters to local plumbers asking for a bit of experiennce for the two days that I have off (Mon & Tuesday) and I have had not a single reply, so here goes; any plumbers in the Coventry/Nuneaton/Bedworth area that want a hand? Would be very grateful, Thanks

You're a long way from me but you say you've sent about 20 letters and not had any reply yet?

I get a few a month from wannabe apprentices and I do reply back to the well written ones, any which start 'dear sir/madam' go straight in the bin without me even reading them. As do the ones with text speak.

Don't give up sending letters out, i have gone through a list of something close to 40 odd plumbers in my city and calling each one inquiring about being an apprentice and none interested so far, just got to keep trying until you get lucky.

Phil, I always address the person with Mr. (followed by their surname) and definately do not use text speak, I'll keep trying though!
