Took a look at an Optia last week where the fan had gone.
When I took the old fan off found this,

Almost totally blocked with what looked like a combination of builders rubble & limescale ?
Customer says it's always worked fine until the fan just stopped, although with a blockage like that I can't imagine it ran well at all!

Has anyone had a similar thing ?

I'm thinking it's either rubble thats fallen in when the vertical flue was installed or water getting in and drying into deposits, don't think it's bird carp as the terminals ok and I can't see how they'd get it down the flue.

my mate found a bird inside his fan and ive come across wasps nests in the past. you may find some of its might have been from installation? bits of house brick etc....
