Hi all
On Friday I have the lovely job of trying to unblock a Sanisplit
Has anyone got any experience of these or know how they split apart for cleaning/unblocking ?

Not too sure, but i had a blocked Saniflo before and i think it came apart pretty easily. However, it was completely broken (inside, not from me dismantling it) and i had to replace it. so not sure if they go back together well.

if its under 2 years old dont take the lid off as this voids the guarantee something i learnt just yesterday

Ive got other plumbers numbers to hand out when this call comes in, means the wife will still speak to me when I come home, never disapointed her yet or taken a saniflo apart either.

get your hands in there oldplumber!!,its easy to take apart you probably wont see any brown stuff, isolate electrics remove 2-screws,take off lid, remove round center lid theres a filter in here that has the blade in the bottom normally paper towels or rimblock cleaners will be trapped around the blades, however if the bowl is full of water your up s~~t creek, litraly some saniflos/masarators have a relese screwe in the motor you turn with a large srewdriver to clear it so you avoid all of the above dont forget to take bleach and gloves with you

first and last one Ill ever do had a pink mouse jamming the blades and a bog full of brown stuff to clearout first before the top cover could come off, and it was all in an understair space which wasnt very roomy or well ventilated, whats your phone number,Ill put you on my list of saniflo repair men if you like.

I quite like saniflow jobs make good money from it but dont take the lid of if under 2 years old as it will invalidate the guarantee, and a registered saniflow plumber will need to do the job.

But they dismantle very easily and unblocking is not normally a problem, the problem often is a result of the user and the waste pipe layout with to many elbow fittings.

I do put saniflows in!!!! but i reccomend using some 22mm barrier pipe or similar over the whole length of out flow, if the pipe then blocks , I advice the owner that the plumber they call in (not me note) can stick his hydraulic tester on one end and pump it up to blow through the blockage. A grateful owner later informed me it work out well when they completely bunged up their system, (they borrowed my hydraulic tester)

alternatively take a deep breath and seal your lips over one end before blowing!!!!!!!!!!
