instead of changing blow-off valves all the time they fail my mate said he was told you can actually repair the washer thing inside but not sure how.
anyone done this or know how its done, or does every one know and were being lazy?

I will admit to being completely ignorant of this, even if poss I wouldn't do it

im with raswildo, even to repair a prv you have to drain down, so just change the valve, the prv works with a spring when you take it out to change the washer, if you slightly damage it, or overtighten it wont 'pop' at the designed pressure rendering it useless.

you can often change the head if it one thats dificult to get the whole valve out water pump pliers on the bottom edge of the cap there not very tight so doesnt damage the valve
