Hi guys and gals,

In my final year at college, and have worked on boilers a little, but I have a question, I really want to change my boiler as it's a (get ready for it.....) a Heatline Vizo 24 (b&q special) and leaks everytime it gets fixed, I'm thinking it may be more practical to use it as a door stop or a footstool.

On a serious note, what boilers are good apart from Worcester and glowworm, neither of which appear of eBay very often unless they are spares. I've heard Baxi should be avoided like the plague and Chaffateux Britony too. I have a gas connection bu the way.

what does the GSR fitter you work with recommend ?

I have worked (water side) on boilers leaks etc, but I dont touch the gas side at all otherwise I would have no eyebrows to speak of :)

every one will have a different answer based on what boiler they prefer to work with.
if you go with one of the top brands you will be ok.
Note of caution about trying to get a cheap second hand boiler, if its not condensing then you will be unlikely to get it fitted legally.
