Boiler flue

I looked at a non condensing boiler tonight , the flue elbowed of the top along 300mm then dropped down the side of the boiler to another elbow to exit wall about bottom of boiler height . What's the regs on that if there's any . It was like a big S

It was allowed to drop the flue on se boilers

yes its ok on non condensing as flue has to run down did a few ourselves to clear eaves etc

as others have said many manufactures allowed this on non condensing boilers back in the day!
