Customer wants to replace direct cylinder with new boiler and indirect cylinder, and will add radiators and heating circuit at a later date.
He has been told he must install at least 2 rads with a boiler! Anyone heard this before or is it total rubbish?

I assume the cylinder coil would be the heat dump and in theory the boiler/pump would only be running when the cylinder stat is calling for heat. It wouldn't be any different from a "normal' system, but with the heating switched off!

The boiler will prob have a pump over run

I think the 2 rad rule is for combis

He wants quicker reheat times for the power shower. Direct takes nearly 2 hrs and a lot of electricity! Indirect will be 20-30mins.

He does intend to fit radiators at a later date , when funds allow.
He was just surprised to be told he needed at least 2 rads, butt I haven't heard that before...although I've not seen a boiler used for hot water only!

I'd have though a 2 port for the cylinder and auto bypass would be ok, no difference to a S plan.
