We have a Potterton Performa 24 Eco HE boiler installed in the downstairs loo and we're having trouble with the hot water getting to the 1st floor bathroom.

Hot water in on the ground floor is not a problem.

Hot water to a sink location in the 1st floor bathroom is hot but no where near as hot as to the ground floor.

Hot water to a new Bath in the 1st floor bathroom is pretty much not there, tepid but no where near hot.

We had a Scottish Power engineer come round under the insurance agreement we have with them. He was in a bit of a rush and suggested we should speak to the guy that installed the new bath as it was to do with a filter in the mixer tap (makes no sense to me, but then i'm neither a boiler engineer or bathroom installer).

Anyone any ideas?

Hi Kaiser a 24kw combi will only give you a 35degree rise at 9 litres a minute turn your bath tap down and the temp. will rise, unfortunately this happens in winter with 24kw combis

if it has just started to be a problem Scorops could be right, MIGHT have a blender on the bath tap but doughtfull.
Might be too long of a run for the hot water and it is cooling that few decs.
Turn tap down and see what happens and have a cup of tea as the bath fills

Thanks erj and scorps! That's exactly what the problem was. The Mrs said it was not so bad in the summer. No more need to run kettles to the bath now!
