Discuss Boiler Inlet Pressure in the Boilers area at Plumbers Forums

Hello all! First post on here. I'm newly qualified - could anyone tell me if there is an absolute minimum acceptable gas inlet pressure at the boiler? I understand refer to MIs, make sure it's safe and not affecting any other appliances, but if it's below manufacturers recommendation, correct at meter, and operating correctly / safely, is there an issue? NTC, AR, ID? I can't find a concrete answer

Many thanks!

Each is different 14 mbar I think is ideal but nothing overrides the gas drop eg 1 or 1.5 mbar depending on the gas valve interference/ drop from meter to appliance

Cadent can only guarantee 14mbar in periods of high demand. All boilers have to be designed to safely work to this. Anything less and it’s AR.
As Shaun says, GSR states one Mbar from meter to boiler inlet.. “That’s not gas valve test point though.” It’s upto where it connects onto boiler.. Best to put a test point in under the boiler.

Then screw what M.it’s state. If you have 19mbar directly under boiler when in high fire, your covered
