My issue is, I have a ProCombi compact HE boiler. 5yrs old
I noticed the radiators weren't getting up to full heat and the shower would run hot and cold.
So I got the boiler serviced £60. All good, water and radiators hot, hot, hot. 90% efficiency.
An hour later, it went back to previous issue.
Next call out, was told need to replace heat exchanger themostat. £145 fitted. so did that.
All good, system working fine.
An hour later, it went back to previous issue.

So now, ive been told, the new heat exchanger has been filled with crap from the main heat exchanger, so need both new main heat exchanger and another heat exchanger. but better off getting whole new boiler.

Left it off for 24hrs. Works fine right now, although pressure went up to 3 mbar, releasing some water, I assume it will revert back to old issue.

Any ideas what I should do? is a brand new boiler really the best option?

Any help would be very much appreciated

Thanks

Robin

It would be far cheaper to get someone in to give you second opinion Rob. I'm afraid we can't tell you what's wrong with your boiler for your own safety.

However you do have an issue there which is quickly, cheaply (compared to a new boiler), and easily resolved.
