Hi,

My Vaillant Turbo Compact is losing pressure. It drops about 0.1 bar per week.

I have ruled out the boiler (engineer checked it: expansion vessel, pressure relief valve, etc) so it may be a leak.

I have checked all visible joints around rads and all ok. It may be a leak under floorboards. The pipes have copper compression fittings.

Does anyone have any good ideas for finding small leaks? I live in a flat and the neighbour downstairs does not have any problems with leaks in ceiling.

Thanks
Mac

Hi Mac,
Somehow I feel like every new member rights and ask about the same thing so don’t get me wrong it’s just weird.

Either get a good engineer around or use perhaps thermal imaging camera.

As it's such a small amount you could try some leak sealer

Confirm its not your expansion vessel or PRV by tying a sandwich bag or similar onto the warning pipe outside to catch any water should it let by, not saying there anything wrong with your engineer but you would be surprised how little understanding some engineers have of EV's, did he drain down before checking the air pressure? Is it a condencing model?
