I have a Halstead Ace High combi boiler which is now 3 years old. It has worked well but recently the boiler will not fire up when I turn the shower on. However, it still always fires up when I turn the bath tap fully on (which delivers a greater volume of hot water than the shower). It seems the boiler is not sensing the flow of water through the shower.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks

TeresaS

Is the shower head scaled up?

Has anything changed recently that would cause the shower/boiler to stop working?

It's a common fault with this design of boiler. Get a local gas safe registered engineer in to fix it for you. Shouldn't be an expensive fix.

Could be faulty thermostatic cartridge in shower or blocked filter on hot inlet too shower

Thanks...

I have de-scaled the shower head, and nothing has changed recently to explain problem....
