Hi,

Our gas boiler will heat the radiators really well but doesn't produce any hot water we have to use the immersion to get hot water

Any ideas why this is so..I am pretty clueless on plumbing

Some pics of the immersion are attached

Thanks,
Jerry

P.S. This is an Irish system but I think it should be similar

Try turning the White dial on the blue box

If that fails I'm betting that the White box on the top of the two pipes going to the tank has failed

May work out cheaper to get a local plumber in thou

Hi Jerry try turning the stat up (picture 3) to about 65c and it should start to warm up

Has it just stopped heating the water? or is it long term problem?

Ok, the valve on the pipe above the stat (white box) does it have a little lever on the side? if so can you slide it or push so the valve opens? Does the pipe get hot?

Also there may be a time clock for the hot water somewhere?

we just moved into a new place and are trying to figure it out so we never got hot water from it

Could even be a wiring fault then or faulty valve or just a case of not using the controls correctly.

A picture of your programmer?

There is a timer on the boiler but there could be another for the HW

Check the gate valve on the bottom pipe coming from your cylinder is fully open.

Hi guys thanks for all the help. I got a professional out this evening..He was able to open up the motorised valve (white box) and force it open

Thanks for the education!
