Hi all,

This is my first post, I hope you can help me with my Boiler issue.

I have an Oil fed worcester-bosch 12/15 Danesmoor boiler, which has stopped heating water.
The central heating pump is working fine, so it has power but only that, it does not fire up and heat on either the c/h setting or the hot water only setting.

I can not see a reset button at all or anyway of 're-starting' the flame to the boiler if it has gone out.

Can anyone help me please?

Thank you very much!

Jon

get an oftec engineer in much easier and safer

I will if I need to (never heard of oftec are they like an oil version of gas safe?)

First I would like to try to reset the boiler myself if it is straight forward?

yes and the question is why has it locked out in the first place

ps oil boilers dont work on a permanent flame/pilot light principle

Check the water jackets been bled. If theres air in there, it may have overheated and tripped the stats under the control panel. If not call someone.

Thanks, how would I do this, there seems to be no controls as such on the boiler at all?

Anyone?
I just want to do standard checks myself, prior to having to call in the experts.
Thanks.

Turn it on, does it work? Checks done. No standard checks, get a pro in. Just because its oil its no less dangerous than a gas appliance.

I'm not rebuilding it, this is exactly the problem. It has mains power. Where the :nono: is the on/off/restart button. The manual speaks of bleeding air, setting float levels and oil spray pressure. How do I restart the thing? Lump hammer?
