Hi. I’m looking for some advice. I recently bled my radiators then over pressurised the boiler (one of the filling valves got left open) this led to the prv opening and draining water. I got a plumber out and he said the valve didn’t reseat properly due to debris in the pipe so he flushed some water through the pipe, checked it and said that’s it fixed and that he was retired now and this was his last call. The pressure dropped to 0 after heating was on. I topped up the pressure (to 1.0 bar) but the prv was still leaking. I got another plumber who said it was prv and expansion vessel. He said he recharged expansion vessel and that would fix the problem. It didn’t. The pressure rises to 3 when heating is on and the prv still drips water. I’ve phoned the plumber twice. Is it such a difficult thing that nobody wants to fix it? I’m not sure whether to phone anyone else or just get BG homecare?

It needs either a new vessel or re-charging correctly and a new PRV.
The PRV is a safety valve and they are notorious for passing once they have operated. It is not a big job. Just needs a bit of patience to ensure all's well before they leave.

The prv is still leaking , you will not establish constant pressure in this state. Maybe a new one will solve ur problem.there are so many things that can and do wrong with a combi only competant dedicated combi cure type engineers will be able to,sort things out 1 st call. Forget BG all you might get to fix will be a puppy, or 10x vans whom will still let you down and refer it to another van.

Get an old fart and trust him

Ok. Thanks. It’s just my recent plumber isn’t returning my calls so I thought it might be a nightmare and he just didn’t want to fix it. I’ll phone someone else then. At least I know it’s not too bad. Thank you so Much.

Ok. Thanks. It’s just that last plumber isn’t returning my calls so I thought it might be a nightmare and he just didn’t want to fix it. I’ll phone someone else then. At least I know it’s not too bad. Thank you so Much.
It's fine. Could you edit that please and put a 'my' or 'the' before 'Last Plumber' It reads like I have not returned your calls and I can assure you that would never be the case lol.
