Hi, I'm new to the forum.
Just trying to get an idea of a reasonable quote for a new Worcester Bosch 30si install and powerflush. I've had 3 quotes so far, of £1700, £2238 and £3K. I'm still waiting on a another fitter and I've also got another guy coming to quote us tomorrow morning.
I've not had a new install before, so I'm not quite sure how much this kind of thing should cost.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

By the looks of it £1700-£3000 ,

ask them if you can speak to some of there customers for feedback

Getting five quotes for a boiler , i would have thought the three you have would give you a ball park figure . Oh and cheapest dont always mean the best buy

Were any of these guys recommended or did you just open yellow pages?

I got the details of all bar one of them from various trusted trader sites. I've seen reviews of 2 of them, but no spoken to any customers. I'm tempted to go with my gut instinct which was the first quote we had at £2238. The £1700 sounds like he's leaving very little margin for himself once the cost of the boiler, flush and parts are taken into consideration.

you need to compare like for like if poss ie what are they all supplying for you, flush, filters, autobypass, prv, hammer arrestor on cold feed, etc. 1700 as said to cheap 3K, bells and whistle prehaps, middle figure, one day to complete and run no flush? you dont know unless you get a spec fm them.

go with the instinct 1700 is to cheap imho but you do realy need a full spec in writting to compare any job as spec can vary i hate loosing a job where ive priced for a good boiler then go past and see a cheapy has been fitted
