Hi All,
I am at a friends house this week that they have recently moved into. It us an old Victorian semi that has been extended. Original part of the house is served by aPotterton kingfisher cfl60 and the extension by a Worcester 28si. They have just had there first months gas bill In and it was over £200. They asked my opinion on what they have and may need. They also have 3 bathrooms so a combi probably won't be an option. Not sure if I have done this right but have measured all the rooms and used an calculation app and it is telling me current heat requirements is 20kw. This doesn't seem right for the seem right for the size of house. Just wondered what sort and size of boiler would be needed. House has 4 beds, large hall, 2 bathrooms, dining room, large kitchen and 2 walk through landings.

thanks

not far off the mark for heating requirement. try the whole house method to check against your figures.

The whole house method works out at 21.3kw. So I assume a 24 kw boiler would be ok?
