Can anyone clarify the bottom end price for a regular boiler service.
I know the service various boiler to boiler but I'am trying to gauge a start price for a promotion I'm going to offer on launching my Heating business.
I have thought starting the service price at £35 can anyone advise me please on a good starting price.

Cheers Gregg

that sounds like a good price, prices are different across the country depends on where you are but I would probably charge around £45 for a boiler service

sounds very cheap to me, i charge £55 for a service and never have any complaints, as already said it all depends on where you are in the country.

£45 for me as well this covers most wall mounts and combis, price go,s up if its a greenstar and its approaching 3 year old ,due to the strip down and burner gasket, need to bear this in mind with icos heaps as well,a service kits £35 and need to see if the ionization probes hare intact ,then theres valiants has the gasket been replaced etc so £45 as a guide depending on gaskets and obviously bbu,s are more as more involved and there 2 appliances

I usually charge £75 droping down to £65 when on promo or special offer

Sounds spot on to me and as what i charge.

I charge £60 for an oil boiler. What do other oil guys charge? If people "recommend a friend" I knock £10 off for each new customer they get me.

Edited after reading a posting and agreeing with it ...

:eek::cool::cool:

And for those who wanted to see how much I charge ... :p:p!!

I hear and see what your saying but you just wouldnt get any service work here if you charged them kind of prices.

Don't know whether us professional engineers gas or oil should be discussing prices on the open discussion site, but if you're going in at £35 is it worth it !!!?
Minus tax,NI,petrol costs, insurances [business & motor], cost of van, tools, fga service costs,billing/paperwork,time taken for qualifications & cost of exams.......oh! time on job.
You'll be working all hours to make a living & will find it difficult to put up yor prices to realistic ones.
All fully trained engineers are worth more this, work out a decent price & remember give your customers an efficient & reliable service.

£55, if any gaskets are needed thats extra.

never had any rolled eyes or complaints with that price
