Hi
We have a GlowWorm Betacom 24c and we have it set to the maximum CH temperature at this time of year. It ranges from 30-90 on the boiler. Just wondered if it was normal for the boiler to switch off after running at 80-90 for a while (minutes) and then switch off and let itself cool right down to the 50 light before kicking back in and heating back up? Could the boiler thermostat be on its way out or something or is this normal?
Last winter it was actually cooling right down to 30 before kicking back in and warming back up. Just before winter it was drained, flushed through with the mains, had a fernox magnetic filter fitted (getting a lot of black crap out with this!) and refilled but it still seems to let itself cool down to much for me or am I just plain wrong ha?
Also is it normal for my CH flow to go upstairs first? I find this very odd also! Its a single pipe system and is a relatively small setup really, two large radiators downstairs with a little one at bottom of stairs and two medium radiators upstairs with a little one in the bathroom.
Thanks!
