boilers reg with gas safe

Hi Guys, can any one remeber when we had to reg the boilers with gas safe?

gas safe only goes back to April 2009??

I can remember registering them when I worked for myself so thats at least 8 years ago I think it was only a year or so before that it came in.

Didn't it start after changes to building regulations when CORGI started the competent person scheme to register for part L boiler work? Probably 31st April 2005.
