Hi, 1st question from a newbie. I've had a search & can't find a thread on this.

I have a worcester bosch greenstar boiler with 17 rads.
I have a EasyControl with 14 of the rads having Bosch eTRVS. I do not use the weather compensation settings.
I have a couple of queries if anyone has set up a similar system.
1. The system has an autobalance feature. If I use this should I fully open the lockshields?
2. On occasion the rads with no trvs (in bathrooms) do not heat the rooms fully. I think maybe because the system is modulating the boiler as the rest of the zones hit target temp. So should I set one zone deliberately high to ensure the boiler stays on or is there a better way to finness this?

Thanks for your help.

Hi, I would probably try running the rads a bit hot when balancing but if they're undersized or rooms are a bit draughty then this may not solve.
Why have you left just these three rooms without heads?

Hi thanks appreciated, the ones without heads are in bathrooms & 2 do have normal TRVs but 1 is also a wet room & I was concerned about having a smart TRV in case it gets wet. All the other rads have smart TRVs.
Question 1 was more about using the autobalance feature on the EasyControl.

I've not used autobalance but I guess it adjusts valves based on how fast they reach desired temp. I guess it would work well aslong as lockshields aren't closed too much but I'd be sceptical about just relying on that and wouldn't ignore balancing completely.
Smart heads should be fine except in wet room so I'd just leave that one without.
